FOODS THAT FUELS SEX

FOODS THAT FUELS SEX
www.tariqqco.blogspot.com

In the recent past many couples have contacted TariQ Consult posting various questions about sex among other issues. To some wives, their husbands do not stay long while having it while she desires and can withstands more time, and to other husbands, their wives are not good at sex just because they completely feels worn-out after very few minutes after the beginning of copulation.
According to our recent research, the issue of low time span sex have broken many homes, threatening some present relationship and creating fear in some minds wether he or she is good at sex.

Although the main aim of marriage is not sex but this is very crucial part of it. Whenever issues like this arises between couples, divorce, hanger, fighting, extramarital behaviours like adultery is never the answer. There are series of what can be done to overcome this. Part of it is the use of sex aiding drugs, as well as eating some certain natural foods that can help increase your sex ability.

In this write-up, we would be looking at the aspect of natural foods we may or may not have knowledge of what functions they can play in fueling our sexuality.

You’ve probably heard the adage, ‘You are what you eat.’ Well, this applies to how our dietary habits either make us sick or well.

The same goes for how the foods a man eats can determine how well he can sustain libido.
Instead of popping endless Viagra pills or the local, less expensive alternatives, the following foods can enhance your performance in the bedroom…

Bananas

On its own, the shape of bananas is libido-inspiring. Better still, banana contains an enzyme known as bromelain, which is believed to increase libido and reverse impotence in men. Additionally, they are good sources of potassium and B vitamins like riboflavin, which increase the body’s overall energy levels, says Professor of Physiology at the University of Florida, Penelope Perkins-Veazie.

Avocado

Avocado doesn’t just look like testicle, it also contains high levels of folic acid, which helps metabolise proteins, thus giving you more energy. Reproduction specialist, George Brewer, notes that avocado also contain vitamin B6 (a nutrient that increases male hormone production) and potassium (which helps regulate a woman’s thyroid gland), two elements that help increase libido in both men and women.

Nuts

Nuts are a prime source of essential fatty acids. These are vital, as they provide the raw material for a man’s healthy production of hormones, says .

Eggs

A Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine, Christos Mantzoros, says eggs are high in vitamins B6 and B5, which help to balance hormone levels and fight stress, two things that are crucial to a healthy libido. Eggs are also a symbol of fertility and rebirth.

Liver

Liver may indeed increase a slowed-down libido, says nutritionist,

Figs

These are high in amino acids, which are believed to increase libido. Perkins-Veazie notes that they can also improve sexual stamina. Furthermore, the shape of a fresh fig and the sweet, juicy taste are two tangible aspects that are highly pleasurable to the human senses.

Garlic

Brewer says garlic contains allicin, an ingredient that increases blood flow to the sexual organs. As such, it’s a highly effective herb to help increase libido. You can take it in capsule form, or use it as food enhancer while cooking.

Chocolate

Chocolate contains theobromine — an alkaloid that is very similar to caffeine. It also contains phenylethylamine, a chemical believed to produce the feeling of “being in love.” Experts add that dark chocolate has a massive amount of anti-oxidants, which are great for the body in general, as they help maintain the immune system.

Salmon

Nutritionists say salmon is a great source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA that help maintain the fluidity of our cell membranes. Brewer says they keep our cardiovascular systems healthy by reducing inflammation, preventing excessive blood clotting, and keeping fats in the blood at healthy levels. The same omega-3 fats are also found in other fatty fish like tuna, black cod, halibut, and mackerel, nutritionists say.

Watermelon

Watermelon is rich in a chemical called citrulline, which helps make nitric oxide that dilates blood vessels. It also contains the phytonutrient lycopene and beta-carotene, which act as antioxidants, protecting our cells.

Green vegetable

Fresh spinach and other green vegetables contain high amounts of chlorophyll, which purifies the blood and helps to increase blood flow. Some also contain essential fatty acids like omega 3 and 6. They’re a rich source of vitamins, including the fat-soluble A and K, and C, as well as minerals that keep the body rich in alkaline and improve energy levels.

WHY CAN'T YOU FORGIVE ?

WHY CAN'T YOU FORGIVE ?
www.tariqqco.blogspot.com

I always tell myself that when you live your life without anyone hurting, disappointing, disgracing or offending you then it means you never did anything worthy.

Before you continue reading this piece, I want to tell you that there are so many people who are buried daily, and their crime is that someone they offended couldn't forgive them.
There are innocent orphans and street children out there whose crime is that someone didn't forgive their parents.
The reality is that even as you read this piece, there may be someone you have blocked on whatsapp or facebook, or you have decided not to respond to his/ posts/messages and the person's crime is that he/she is naughty, broke your heart, disappointed you or said something that really offended you. You aren't talking to your roommate, an old friend, a family member, your Ex or that special friends because they offended you and you can’t forgive them.

Yes, I really understand you, they hurt you. He/she is annoying, rude and not worthy to be part of your life. However, my questions are: do you expect someone to forgive you if you can't forgive others? Do you think you have never offended anyone before?

The beauty of life is that it comes with disappointments and offences from people you least expect. Unfortunately, some of us spend so much time on the disappointments and offences and end up becoming victims of all circumstances.
Remember this one thing always: Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
The fact is that the world is full of annoying, naughty and ungrateful people; you will always come across them during the gentle stroll of your life span here on earth, but the best thing to do is to deal with them with love and maturity. You can’t get everyone to behave like you. Never!

Hatred and intolerance have caused many of the world's problems and have solved none of them. We must learn to tolerate and forgive one another. We must have personal cemeteries where we can bury the faults of others and move on with life.
There are some people on this earth who when you treat them the way they are, they will forever remain the same,  sometimes you need the love of God and ideal maturity to be with them. Their lives will never be better when you let them go.

I know so many names are racing through your mind as you read this piece. Yes, I have been there before to the extent that I felt like eliminating some of them from the earth, however, through prayers, love and maturity, today some of them are my best friends. It is never easy but it's possible.
It's said that true forgiveness is when you can say, "Thank you for that experience."

As you read this piece, I beseech you to take the pain and forgive that special person you have grudges with, unblock that friend and iron out your grievances. A great man once said that forgiveness is the sweet smell left by the flower on the bottom of the shoe which trampled it. It is the only needle that knows how to mend. Master the courage and apologize to that person you have offended. Life is too short.

The stars are falling, the clock is ticking, man is ageing, grave is calling and we are not in charge. Mohammed Ali once said, don't count the days, let the days count. Life is short, don't wait for a perfect time to impact the world, you don't know how much time you have left...now is the time...live life to please the maker, that you can not regret.

My dear brothers and sisters, May God make it easy for you to do the right thing.
We have been asking for forgiveness all through this month..imagine if you are told that Allah has not forgiven you..

Please forgive others and pray that you are forgiven.

REFUTATION TO MISCONCEPTIONS REGARDING NISFU SHABAN (15th shaban)

REFUTATION TO MISCONCEPTIONS REGARDING NISFU SHABAN (15th Shaban)
www.tariqqco.blogspot.com

It is of no doubt that sha'ban is one of the special Months of Islam, because it has been proclaimed to be the Prophets' Month ( Pbuh). This special took its  significance from the Month  of Ramadan which comes after Shaban. Therefore it was the extreme speciality of Ramadan that gives it more importance because it is a month when preparation for Ramadan is at peak.

It is of great surprise how many has turn this month (Shaban) to swim in the pool of bid'ah and ignorance. They ascribes unnecessary importance and specialities to it especially different proclamations tagged to the middle of this month in question. This is a plot of some self acclaimed Islamic clerics who want to disguise under this holy Month to steal from people and make them captives of shaytan. WE CALL ON EVERY MUSLIMS TO BEWARE!

Here TCN has compiled little refutations to these serious misconceptions regarding this Month Shaban, we hope it will assist to guide Muslims from misinformation and misguidance.

*MISCONCEPTION 1*
Allaah descends to the first heavens on this night to forgive us.

Answer:
The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said: "Every night when it is the last third of the night, our Lord, the Superior, the Blessed, descends to the nearest heaven and says: Is there anyone to invoke Me that I may respond to his invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone asking My forgiveness so that I may forgive him?. " (Bukhari 1145,Muslim 1261)

*MISCONCEPTION 2*
This is the night when our fate, lifespan, and provisions are decreed.

Answer:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “When the drop of (semen) remains in the womb(of mother) for forty (days) or forty nights, the angel comes and says:
“My Lord, will he be good or evil?” And both these things would be written.
Then the angel says: “My Lord, would he be male or female?” And both these things are written.
And his deeds and actions, *his death*, his livelihood; these are also recorded. [Sahih Muslim Hadith 6392]

*MISCONCEPTION 3*
Deeds are shown (to Allaah) on 15th shaban

Answer:
Prophet (peace be upon him) said “Deeds are shown (to Allaah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” [Tirmidhi, 747; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1041. ]

*MISCONCEPTION 4*
The night of the 15th of Shabaan should be singled out for special kinds of worship, prayer, etc. and they have a great reward

Answer:
There is no saheeh hadeeth concerning the night of the fifteenth of Shabaan. So this night is ordinary like other nights and the reward for praying/worshiping in this night will be the same as other nights.

*MISCONCEPTION 5*
Fasting on the day of 15th shaban has a special and great reward

Answer:
Fasting on 13th 14th 15th of every month is recommended not only on 15th shaban
Prophet (peace be upon him) said “If you fast any part of the month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” [Tirmidhi, 761; al-Nasaa’i, 2424; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1038.

*MISCONCEPTION 6*
This is the night when the souls of departed ones return to their families.

Answer:
This thing has no basis in quran or ahadith…. The souls can never return to this world. This is a fabrication and lie invented by people.

*MISCONCEPTION 7*
Look at all those people doing it. How can they all be wrong?

Answer:
Allah says, “And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from Allah's way; they follow but conjecture and they only lie.” [Al qur’an 6:116]

So this is a weak argument that majority of people do it and believe in it so it is true.

We pray Allah safe this ummah from clogs and evil of human and shaytan. Amin.

AL-WALA WAL BARAA (LOVE AND HATRED IN ISLAM)

AL-WALA WAL BARAA
(LOVE AND HATRED IN ISLAM)

www.tariqqco.blogspot.com

DEFINITION OF LOVE AND HATRED
LOVE is an emotional state whose reality cannot be described in words. However, the ability to love is inherently present in all human beings. We have been gifted with this attribute since the creation of our souls in Heaven. This deeply rooted quality manifests in us from the instant we are born on earth.

Attraction is the initial stage of love. The higher stages of love result in tremendous energy, zeal, determination, going out of control, etc. All of us experience and are therefore capable of understanding the initial stage of love, namely attraction, but higher stages are experienced only by a few. However the nature of all human beings is endowed with an unlimited capacity to develop and refine their love

It is a common experience that our hearts are moved even by stories of love. Such arousal of emotions is a clear proof of the hidden treasures of love in all human beings.

Hatred is simply the opposite of Love.

Love is Essential for Faith

There is little benefit in reading these stories as a mere pastime and for deriving pleasure. This subject is being presented only to invite readers to develop their love toward Allah, who by His special Mercy has gifted us with the tendency to love Him by making us believers. In other words Allah intends that we should seek Him as our Goal of love.

"Those who believe are staunch in their love for Allah."

According to many narrations, love has been stipulated as something essential for faith.

"True belief is that when I and Allah become dearest to you.

In another Hadith:

"None of you can have (perfect) belief till I become dearer than your father, children and all mankind."

Another Hadith goes beyond this, requiring that the love for the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wasallam) should exceed the love one has for one's own life. The love of Allah being necessary for Iman, [faith] it implies that achieving such love must also be within the reach of all believers. Belief without love is defective. We should strive to remove this deficiency because weak Iman (faith) is unreliable and can perish.

The disobedience of Iblis (Satan) was on account of his being devoid of the love of Allah. Had he been in love, he could not have been arrogant towards his Creator and become a disbeliever.

The preliminary stages of love are the feelings of attraction and its highest stage is incessant yearning for the Beloved. There is no limit to this and it continues growing.

The highest level of love was achieved only by our Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wasallam). He was gifted with the highest degree of love. Others get the love of Allah in lower degrees according to their fate. Stories of temporal love become insignificant to those who have observed the lovers of Allah (known as wali or wali-Allah). We should also strive to get our portion of true love, and thereby experience the sweetness of this world and the next. None should consider himself unworthy of Allah's love. Such despair, if entertained, is the deception by which the devil attempts to keep people away from Allah. It is the Mercy of Allah that He has branded despair as being disbelief.

"And who despair of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray."

Love is Accessible to All

Even those who were looked down upon due to their criminal past, later became respected shaikhs(spiritual guides).

Shaykh Ibn Baaz on Love and
Hatred for the Sake of Allaah described the following;

Allaah describes the true believers in Islaam with the
following description:

( ﻭَﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳﻦَ ﺁﻣَﻨُﻮﺍْ ﺃَﺷَﺪُّ ﺣُﺒًّﺎ ﻟﻠﻪِ )
( While the people of eemaan are stronger in their
love for Allaah [than anyone else] ) [Soorah al-
Baqarah: 165]

LOVE & HATRED
- Love and hatred are opposites.  Since it is logically
impossible to truly love something without hating
what stands against it, Muslims both love and hate
for the sake of Allaah.

- The Messenger of Allaah (may Allaah raise his rank
and grant him peace) guided us to this balance and
moderation in our emotions when he said:
(( ﺇِﻥَّ ﺃَﻭْﺛَﻖَ ﻋُﺮَﻯ ﺍﻹِﻳْﻤَﺎﻥِ ﺃَﻥْ ﺗُﺤِﺐَّ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪِ ﻭَﺗُﺒْﻐِﺾَ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪِ ))
“Verily the strongest handhold of faith is that you
love for the sake
of Allah and that you hate for the sake of
Allah.” [Ahmad 4/286, authentic]

SHAYKH IBN BAAZ WAS ASKED.
- The great scholar, Shaykh ‘Abdul-’Azeez ibn Baaz
(may Allaah have Mercy on him) was asked
about love and hatred for the sake of Allaah, and he
replied:

Loving for Allaah is when you love (someone) for
Allaah’s sake, the Blessed and Exalted, because you
believe him to be a person of taqwaa (mindfulness
of Allaah’s orders) and eemaan (upright beliefs,
statements, and actions).

 Because of these things
you love such a person for the sake of Allaah.
You also hate for the sake of Allaah when you see
a disobedient disbeliever. You hate such a person
for the sake of Allaah.

You also hate a disobedient person, even if he is a
Muslim, based on the degree of his disobedience.

This is how a believer is – He allows his heart to
react to both types of people, loving some of them
for the sake of Allaah.

He loves the people of
eemaan and taqwaa for the sake of Allaah, while
he hates the people of disbelief, evil, and
disobedience for Allaah’s sake, allowing his heart
to interact with both kinds.

In the case when there is good and bad in a
person, like a disobedient Muslim, then he loves
him for his Islaam and hates him for his
disobedience, combining both emotions of love and
hatred for one person.

As for the people of eemaan and the people of
upright Islaamic practice, then he (a true believer)
loves them wholeheartedly.

 Similarly, he hates the
people of disbelief wholeheartedly.
But regarding someone who has both things (good
and bad traits), a disobedient Muslim, he loves him
based on the level of his eemaan and Islaam, while
he hates him according to the level of his
disobedience and violations (of Islaamic beliefs and
practices).

Source: The shaykh’s answer to a question on the
radio program, Noor ‘alad-Darb.

Important note: With these necessary emotions,
Muslims are required to maintain an important
balance, and they are not allowed to transgress
against the rights of those they hate.

 - Allaah says:

( O you who believe!  Stand devoutly for Allah as
witnesses of justice, and do not let your animosity for
some people prevent you from being fair.  Be fair, as
it is closer to piety, and observe your duty to Allah.
Verily, Allah is all-informed of what you do! ) [Soorah
al-Maa'idah, 5:8]

TEST YOUR UNDERSTANDING:
- According to Christians, hatred is an irreligious
behavior. How are Muslims different from Christians
in this regard?

- Some people say, “We should hate disbelief, but not
the disbelievers themselves as people.  We should
hate beliefs and actions, but not people.” How would
you respond?

- Some people say that Muslims must not hate
anything, and to be a Muslim you must abandon all
forms of hatred
How would you respond?

LOVE AND LOVING IN THE QURAN

(1) Man's Love of Things (15 times)

As one looks at the collection of verses scattered through 13 surahs, where the word love is employed, one observes that the use of the word carries a negative meaning. A repeated theme concerns those who love the world.

14:3 Those who love [istahib] the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the Path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: They are astray by a long distance.

16:107 This because they love [istahib]the life of this world better than the Hereafter: And Allah will not guide those who reject Faith.

75:20 Nay, (ye men!) But ye love [hubb]the fleeting life,

76:27 As to these, they love [hubb] the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard.

89:20 And ye love [hubb] wealth with inordinate love!

100:8 And violent is he in his love[hubb n.] of wealth.

The above theme is more fully defined in Surah 3:14

3:14 Fair in the eyes of men is the love[hubb] of things they covet: Women and sons; heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals (to return to).

This emphasis on the love of things is further defined in Surah 3:92

3:92 By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love; [hubb] and whatever ye give, of a truth Allah knoweth it well.

Here again is reference to loving wealth and things, but that righteousness is attained by giving or spending [nafuq] for what one loves. Thus, these verses come closest to the Biblical injunction "Do not love the world, nor the things in the world." I John 2:15

Other verses in this category refer to:

The hesitance of believers to engage in battle:

2:216 Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love [hubb] a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Pride and hypocrisy:

3:188 Think not that those who exult in what they have brought about, andlove [hubb] to be praised for what they have not done, -- think not that they can escape the Penalty. For them is a Penalty grievous indeed.

Idolatry:

6:76 When the night covered him over, he saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "Ilove [hubb] not those that set." (This passage is a reference to Abraham when he rejected heavenly objects as being divine.)

Rejection of counsel:

7:79 So Salih left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the message for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but yelove [hubb] not good counsellors!"

Warning against those who love infidelity above faith:

9:23 O ye who believe! Take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love [istahib] infidelity above Faith: If any of you do so, they do wrong.

Those publishing scandal:

24:19 Those who love [hubb] (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not.

The promise of victory:

61:13 And another (favor will He bestow), which ye do love [hubb], -- help from Allah and a speedy victory. So give the Glad Tidings to the Believers.

The majority of the verses above reflect basically a negative use of the word love. It is used of loving inappropriate or wrong things. The sole positive verse concerns loving God's help and favor in victory. Are we seeing here an Arabic preference for stating things in the negative in order to reinforce a point? "There is no god, but God," uses the negative to enforce the positive.

(2) Human Love (15 Times)

(Hubb - 5 times; Mawadda - 7 times; Interpretive insert - 3 times)

The five usages of love [hubb] in the sense of human love are found in the following Qur'anic surahs:

3:119 Ah! Ye are those who love [hubb]them, but they love [hubb] you not, -- though ye believe in the whole of the Book. When they meet you they say, "We believe": But when they are alone, they bite off the very tips of their fingers at you in their rage. Say: "Perish in your rage; Allah knoweth well all the secrets of the heart."

This is referring to those outside the ranks of believers. The believers may show love to them, but this love is not reciprocated. It is only a feigned love and when the unbelievers are away, they rail against the believers.

12:8 They said: "Truly Joseph and his brother are loved [ahubb] more by our father than we: But we are a goodly body! Really our father is obviously wandering (in his mind)!

The passage refers to the Old Testament record of the jealousy of Joseph's brothers who are disturbed that Jacob loves Joseph and Benjamin more than the other sons. Here is an instance where fatherly love creates resentment in men's hearts.

12:30 Ladies said in the City: "The wife of the (great) Aziz is seeking to seduce her slave from his (true) self: Truly hath he inspired her with violent love[Hubb n.]: We see she is evidently going astray [shghfaha hubban anan].

This refers to Potiphar's wife. Here is an instance where love is described as erotic by emphasizing that it was violent or intense. The Greek language with its various words to express erotic, brotherly or real love provides a more precise definition for such cases.

28:56 It is true thou wilt not be able to guide every one whom thou lovest;[hubb] but Allah guides those whom He will. And He knows best those who receive guidance.

The occasion of this verse was the death of Abu Talib, an uncle whom Muhammad loved. This implies that Muhammad would not be able to guide everyone he loved, nor expect to do so. There would be those who would hold to their beliefs in spite of his own personal desire.

Mawadda

5:85 Strongest among men in enmity to the Believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love [mawadda] to the Believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": Because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.

29:25 And he said: "For you, ye have taken (for worship) idols besides Allah, out of mutual love [mawadda]and regard between yourselves in this life; but on the Day of Judgment ye shall disown each other and curse each other: And your abode will be the Fire, and ye shall have none to help."

30:21 And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has putlove [mawadda] and mercy between your [hearts]: Verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.

42:23 That is (the Bounty) whereof Allah gives Glad Tidings to His Servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this except the love[mawadda] of those near of kin. " And if any one earns any good, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (service).

60:1 O ye who believe! Take not My enemies and yours as friends [or protectors], -- offering them (your)love, [mawadda] even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the Prophet and yourselves (from your homes), (simply) because ye believe in Allah your Lord! If ye have come out to strive in My Way and to seek My Good Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love (and friendship)[mawadda] with them: For I know full well all that ye conceal and all that ye reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path.

60:7 It may be that Allah will grantlove (and friendship) [mawadda]between you and those whom ye (now) hold as enemies. For Allah has power (over all things); and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

The word mawadda carries the sense of love and friendship. The verbal formwadda is similar to: "to like, be fond of." Various other verbal forms convey the idea of becoming friends or to show affection. Thus the usage above conveys those expressions of friendship among men. Here is a more positive emphasis to love others. There is also the teaching in surah 5:85 that the Christians are the closest in friendship to the believing Muslim.

Interpretative Inserts

14:37 "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Thy Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer: So fill the hearts of some among men withlove towards them, and feed them with Fruits: So that they may give thanks.

The literal sense here is "induce the hearts of people towards them." The addition of the word love is by inference, but in keeping with the sense of the phrase.

3:103 And hold fast, all together, by the Rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favor on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the Pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided. [Interpretive insert]

7:189 It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he mightdwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah their Lord, (saying): "If Thou givest us a goodly child. We vow we shall (ever) be grateful." [Interpretive insert]

It is only for completeness that we include these three verses. The word love in all cases is an interpretative insert by the translator Yusuf Ali. 3:103 implies that God's favor or grace united their hearts. In 7:189 the insertion of love is perhaps added due to the verse context of a conjugal relationship that results in a child.

(3) Man's Love for God (7 times)

(Raghban, anab, uruban - once each, interpretive insert - twice)

2:165 Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love [hubb]them as they should love [Hubb] Allahbut those of Faith are overflowing in their love [hubb n.] for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the Penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the Penalty.

This is an interesting verse as the word love[hubb] is used for idolaters as well as for true lovers of God. The implication being that their love is real, but misdirected. True worshipers are said to be overflowing in their love for God. Here the noun form is used.

2:177 It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces towards the East or West; but it is righteousness -- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, ['ala hubbahu] for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and to practice regular charity; to fulfill the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the Allah-fearing.

Here love for God is indicated as a motivational factor of believers along with love for kin, orphans, the needy, and others for which one spends of his substance.

38:32 And he said, "Truly do I love[hubb] the love [hubb n.] of Good, with a view to the glory of my Lord," -- Until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of Night):

The reference is to King David who loved fine horses. Horses of high breed were brought to him to admire, but he first sought to make his evening prayers before examining the horses. This is nowhere mentioned in the Old Testament, but mention is made of Solomon's love of horses.

76:8 And they feed, for the love of Allah, ['ala hubbahu] the indigent, the orphan, and the captive, -

76:9 (Saying), "We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: No reward do we desire from you, nor thanks.

This refers to the righteous and their deeds of caring for the less fortunate.

21:90 So We listened to him: And We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (barrenness) for him. These [three] were ever quick in emulation in good works: They used to call on Us with love [raghban] and reverence, and humble themselves before Us.

This refers to Zacharia, his wife and John the Baptist. The expression literally means "torn between greed and fear," or "between desire and fear." Thus they called on God because they desired Him, which desire was tempered with respect.

31:15 "But if they strive to make thee join in worship with Me things of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not; yet bear them company in this life with justice (and consideration), and follow the way of those who turn to Me (in love): In the End the return of you all is to Me, and I will tell you the truth (and meaning) of all that ye did." [Interpolated] [anab]

This is an interpretive insertion by the translator. The expression means, "to turn repentantly to God." Or "to visit frequently." In the context it means to join those who have rejected idols and turned to God.

56:37 Beloved [`uruban] (by nature), equal in age, -- (companions of the right hand in paradise) [interpretive]

The passage refers to those enjoying the pleasures of paradise and the delights of the companions who are virgins. The phrase is somewhat difficult to render. It is composed of only two Arabic words.`uruban atraban. A possible rendering would be "true Arab companions." i.e. suitable companions for Arabs. This ethnically awkward wording may have prompted the translator to choose "Beloved (by nature)" to approximate the sense for non-Arab readers. Maulana Muhammad Ali in his translation renders the phrase loving, equals in age.

4:69 All who obey Allah and the Apostle are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of Allah, -- Of the Prophets (who teach), the Sincere (lovers of Truth), [sadiqiyeen] the Witnesses (who testify), and the Righteous (who do good): Ah! What a beautiful Fellowship! [Interpretive insert]

57:19 And those who believe in Allah and His apostles -- they are the Sincere (lovers of Truth), [sadiqiyeen]and the Witnesses (who testify), in the eyes of their Lord: They shall have their Reward and their Light. But those who reject Allah and deny Our Signs, -- they are the Companions of Hellfire. [Interpretive insert]

The preceding two verses are interpretative inserts. The translation of sadiqiyeen as "lovers of truth" is commendable, but the meaning indicates those who are righteous and faithful and so by implication they are ones who love truth.

(4) Negative - God Does Not Love The ... (22 times)

Here in this selection of verses we notice again the Arabic preference for the negative to state an opposite. While the following do not state that God hates, it certainly enforces the idea that the love of God is withheld from those who practice certain deeds or are described as manifesting a certain character. Several of the verses are repetitious and so we have the following categories.

1. God does not love the al-mua'tadeenThose involved in brutal aggression.

Those who are overstepping the boundaries or limits.

2:190 Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors [la uhibb al-mua'tadeen]

5:90 O ye who Believe! Make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: For Allah loveth not those given to excess [la uhibb al-mua'tadeen]

7:55 Call on your Lord with humility and in private: For Allah loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds. [la uhibb al-mua'tadeen]

2. God does not love the al-fasideen, the corrupt.

2:205 When he turns his back, his aim everywhere is to spread mischief through the earth and destroy crops and cattle. But Allah loveth [hubb] not mischief. [alfsad]

5:67 The Jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them We have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgement. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth [hubb] not those who do mischief [al-mufasideen]

28:77 "But seek, with the (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this world: But do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not (occasions for) mischief in the land: For Allah loves [hubb] not those who do mischief." [al-mufasideen]

The word al-mufasideen is actually much stronger than the translation of "Mischief," by the translator. The Arabic word conveys the stronger idea of corruption, decay, and decomposition. In the moral sense it becomes depravity, iniquity, perversion and in today's usage implies immorality. Thus, this is not referring to people who may have done mischievous things, but one who has fallen into corruption and immorality. The translator may not have been aware of the weakened sense of the word mischief in our English of today.

3. God loves not the al-kafireen, the unbelievers.

In the following verse, the intensive form of the word is used to indicate one who is an inveterate unbeliever. One who practices the rejection of truth. The use of ungratefulfalls short of the intensive meaning of the Arabic word.

2:276 Allah will deprive usury of all blessing, but will give increase for deeds of charity: For He loveth [hubb]not creatures ungrateful and wicked.[kul kffar]

3:32 Say: "Obey Allah and His Apostle": But if they turn back, Allahloveth [hubb] not those who reject Faith. [al kafireen]

30:45 That He may reward those who believe and work righteous deeds, out of His Bounty. For He loves [hubb] not those who reject Faith. [al-kafireen]

4. God loves not the ad-dalemeen, the wrongdoers.

The word is related to darkness, gloominess and by extension to the heinous oppressor, the unjust tyrant. Thus the one who practices wrong.

3:57 "As to those who believe and work righteousness, Allah will pay them (in full) their reward; but Allahloveth [hubb] not those who do wrong." [ad-dalemeen]

3:140 If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) we give to men and men by turns: That Allah may know those that believe and that He may take to Himself from your ranks martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth[hubb] not those that do wrong. [ad-dalemeen]

42:40 The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): But if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: For [Allah] loveth [hubb] not those who do wrong. [ad-dalemeen]

5. God loves not the musarifeen, the wasters.

6:141 It is He who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): Eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: For Allah loveth[hubb] not the wasters [al-musarifeen]

7:31 O Children of Adam! Wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: Eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth[hubb] not the wasters. [al-musarifeen]

6. God loves not the boaster.

31:18 "And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth[hubb] not any arrogant boaster. [kul mkhtal fkhur]

57:23 In order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favors bestowed upon you.For Allah loveth [hubb] not any vainglorious boaster, -- [kul mkhtal fkhur]

4:36 Serve Allah, and join not any partners with Him; and do good -- to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbors who are near, neighbors who are strangers, the Companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your right hands possess: For Allah loveth [hubb] not the arrogant, the vainglorious; --[mkhtalan fkhur]

7. God loves not the proud and boasting.

16:23 Undoubtedly Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: Verily He loveth [hubb] not the arrogant. [al-mustakibereen]

8. God loves not those who boast in their riches.

28:76 Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses; but he acted insolently towards them: Such were the treasures We had bestowed on him, that their very keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men. Behold, his people said to him: "Exult not, for Allah loveth [hubb] not those who exult (in riches). [al-fraheen]

9. God loves not the treacherous.

8:58 If thou fearest treachery from any group, throw back (their Covenant) to them, (so as to be) on equal terms: For Allah loveth [hubb]not the treacherous. [al-kha'ineen]

10. God does not love those who are given to crime and to evil speaking.

4:107 Contend not on behalf of such as betray their own souls; for Allahloveth [hubb] not one given to perfidy and crime;

4:148 Allah loveth [hubb] not that evil should be noised abroad in public speech, except where injustice hath been done; for Allah is He who heareth and knoweth all things.

(5) God's love for Man (20 times)

Here we find a few categories of individuals who are recipients of God's love because of their deeds. One would think these positive statements of God's love would bring us a revelation of the personal and infinite love of God to mankind. What we find are statements of conditional love based on human activity.

1. God loves those who do good.

The muhasneen or those who do good deeds [hasanats]. In some contexts, it implies giving of one's money or goods for Allah's cause.

2:195 And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allahloveth [hubb] those who do good. [al-muhasneen]

3:134 Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men; -- for Allah loves [hubb] those who do good; -- [al-muhasaneen]

3:148 And Allah gave them a reward in this world, and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. For Allahloveth [hubb] those who do good. [al-muhasaneen]

5:14 But because of their breach of their Covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard: They change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the Message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them -- barring a few -- ever bent on [new] deceits: But forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): For Allah loveth [hubb]those who are kind. [al-muhasaneen]

5:96 On those who believe and do deeds of righteousness there is no blame for what they ate (in the past), when they guard themselves from evil, and believe, and do deeds of righteousness, -- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and believe, -- (or) again, guard themselves from evil and do good. For Allah loveth [hubb]those who do good. [al-muhasaneen]

2. God loves the pure and clean:

2:222 They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and Heloves [hubb] those who keep themselves pure and clean. [al-mutdhreen]

9:108 Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of thy standing forth [for prayer] therein. In it are men who love to be purified; and Allahloveth [hubb] those who make themselves pure. [al-mutadhreen]

3. God loves those who are righteous:

3:76 Nay. -- Those that keep their plighted faith and act aright, -- verily Allah loves [hubb] those who act aright. [al-mutaqeen]

9:4 (But the treaties are) not dissolved with those Pagans with whom ye have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfill your engagements with them to the end of their term: For Allahloveth [hubb] the righteous. [al-mutaqeen]

9:7 How can there be a league, before Allah and His Apostle, with the Pagans, except those with whom ye made a treaty near the Sacred Mosque? As long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: ForAllah doth love [hubb] the righteous.[al-mutaqeen]

19:96 On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will (Allah) Most Gracious bestow love. [arrahman wdan] [Interpretive insert, the thought is that God will bestow benevolence]

4. God loves those who are just and judge rightly:

5:45 (They are fond of) listening to falsehood, of devouring anything forbidden. If they do come to thee, either judge between them, or decline to interfere. If thou decline, they cannot hurt thee in the least. If thou judge, judge in equity between them. For Allah loveth [hubb] those who judge in equity. [al-muqasiteen]

49:9 If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: But if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: For Allah loves [hubb] those who are fair (and just). [al-muqasiteen]

60:8 Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for [your] Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: For Allah loveth [hubb]those who are just [al-muqasiteen]

5. God loves those who trust Him:

3:159 It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them. Wert thou severe or harsh hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: So pass over (their faults), and ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast taken a decision, put thy trust in Allah. ForAllah loves [hubb] those who put their trust (in Him). [al-mutawakileen]

6. God loves the persevering or patient:

3:146 How many of the Prophets fought (in Allah's way), and with them [fought] large bands of godly men? But they never lost heart if they met with disaster in Allah's way, nor did they weaken [in will] nor give in. AndAllah loves [hubb] those who are firm and steadfast. [as-sabreen]

7. God loves those who love Him and follow the Prophet:

3:31 Say: "If ye do love [hubb] Allah, follow me: Allah will love [ihbbikum]you and forgive you your sins: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

8. God Himself will produce a people He will love:

5:57 O ye who believe! If any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will Allah produce a people whom He will love [hubb] as they willlove [hubb] Him, -- Lowly with the Believers, Mighty against the Rejecters, Fighting in the Way of Allah, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the Grace of Allah, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And Allah encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things.

9. God loved Moses:

20:39 "Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: The river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee [muhiba minahu] from Me: And (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. (This passage relates the placing of Moses in the bulrushes and his subsequent adoption by Pharaoh's daughter and God's care of him.)

10. God loves those who fight in His cause:

61:4 Truly Allah loves [hubb] those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure.

AS'HABU SABT (PEOPLE OF SABT ) AND THE LESSONS TO LEARN

AS'HABU SABT (PEOPLE OF SABT ) AND THE LESSONS TO LEARN.

www.tariqqco.blogspot.com

FROM TIME IMMEMORIAL
- Prophet Musa (A) had taught the Bani Israa'il (Jews) to
designate one particular day for the worship of Allah . On
that day they were to abandon all their business or leisure
activities. Originally, the day of Friday was specified, but at
the request of the Bani Israa'il, it was changed to Saturday.
This day, the Sabbath, became a holiday for the Jews and
on Saturdays Prophet Musa (A) used to address a special
congregation and preach to the people. For many years
after Prophet Musa (A), the Sabbath was faithfully observed
as a religious day.

DURING PROPHET DAWOOD PERIOD.
- However, in the time of Prophet Dawood
(A), one group of the Bani Israa'il, who lived at the seaport
of Ela, broke the Divine rule. The people of Ela were mainly
fishermen and fished the seas everyday except Saturday.
Allah tested their faith by making the fish become very easy
to catch on Saturdays.

ALLAH SAYS:
- The Holy Qur'an says:
And (O Muhammad) ask them about the (people of the)
town which was beside the sea; when they exceeded (the
limits) in the Sabbath when their fish came to them on the
day of their Sabbath, appearing on the surface of the water;
and on the day they did not observe the Sabbath, they (the
fish) did not come unto them. Thus did We try them, for they
were transgressing. And when a part of them said, "Why do
you preach to those whom Allah would destroy or punish by
a severe torment?" They replied, "To be free from blame
before your Lord, so that perhaps they may become
pious."  (Quran 7:163-164)

THE GREAT TEMPTATION
- The fishermen were tempted by the easy catches to be made
on Saturday and they thought of a plan to get around the
Divine restriction. They decided to dig trenches and canals
to divert the fish. On Saturdays, the canals were opened and
the fish would swim into them in large numbers. At night,
before the fish could return back to the sea, the canals were
dammed. Then on Sundays the fishermen would easily
catch all the trapped fish.

THE WISE AMONG THEM
- The wise and pious people of the tribe advised these greedy
fishermen not to violate the command of Allah . They
considered it their duty to guide those who were in error,
because otherwise they would also be to blame for the
consequences.

So the first group spoke out against the disobedience
that was taking place for two reasons: One, so that they
would be pardoned by Allah because they tried to hold back
the transgressors. And two, so that perhaps the
transgressors may listen to the reminder and turn back to
Allah. It was only this group that survived: “So when they
forgot the remindings that had been given to them, We
rescued those who forbade evil, but We seized those who
did wrong with a severe torment because they used to rebel
(disobey Allah).” (Qur’an, 7:165)

It is the nature of a human being to feel the need to do
good or feel the drive to indulge in evil. But as for our
Ummah, it should be our characteristic to do only good. And
we should not only do good ourselves, but we must
encourage others to do good - we must be the driving force.
And we should not only distance ourselves from vice, but
we must forbid others from doing it also - we must be the
obstacle.

If we all had Muslim identification badges, and the
badge was valid, the description that would go on the badge
would read: This man/woman commands good and forbids
evil, for this is how Allah described us: “You (true believers
in Islam) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind;
you enjoin good and forbid evil, and you believe in
Allah.” (Qur’an, 3:110)

- Characteristics of one who encourages good and forbids
evil:
1. Knowledge (worldly and religious),
2. Patience,
3. Hikmah - having wisdom,
4. Kindness,
5. Observing justice (not forgetting the good that that
person still has).

THE FOOLS AMONG THEM
- The second group of people are those who encourage
others towards evil and stop them whenever they see them
doing acts of virtue. These are the hypocrite men and
women who Allah shall shun:

“The hypocrites, men and women, are from one
another; they enjoin (on the people) evil and forbid (people)
from good and they close their hands (from giving alms in
Allah’s cause). They have forgotten Allah, so He has
forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the Fasiqun
(rebellious, disobedient to Allah).” (Qur’an, 9:67)

- When a people fail in their duty to command the good
and forbid the evil, their invocations will cease to be
accepted.

- Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “(I swear) by
Him who holds my soul in His Hands, you shall indeed
command the good, and you shall indeed forbid the evil,
otherwise Allah shall rain down upon you a punishment.
Then you shall attempt to invoke Him and your
(invocations) shall not be answered.” (Ahmad ibn Hanbal
and Al-Tirmidhi).

- However, the fishermen continued
disobeying the Divine commandment and even boasted
about their cleverness.

AND THE PUNISHMENT OF ALLAH CAME.
- Finally, the punishment of Allah came down and their faces
were transformed into those of animals. After three days
and nights all the sinners were destroyed.

ALLAH SAYS:
- The Holy Qur'an
says:
And indeed you know of those amongst you who
transgressed on the Sabbath, so We said unto them,
"Become apes, despised and spurned!" And We made it a
lesson for (those of) their own times and those (of their
posterity) who came after them and a guidance for those
who guard against evil.  (Quran 2:65-66)

RESPONSIBILITY

IMPORTANT MESSAGE.
 ACCOUNTABILITY
www.tariqqco.blogspot.com

In the name of Allah the Most Beneficent The exceptionally Merciful.

Accountability is the willingness to acknowledge that we have participated in creating, through commission or omission, the conditions that we wish to see changed.

Without this capacity to see ourselves as cause, our efforts become either coercive or wishfully dependent on the transformation of others.

Community will be created the moment we decide to act as creators of what it can become. This is the stance of ownership, which is available to us every moment on every issue, even world peace, the overdependence on fossil fuel consumption, and the fact that our teenagers are slightly self-centred.

This requires us to believe in the possibility that this organization, this neighbourhood, this community is mine or ours to create. This will occur when we are willing to answer the essential question, "How have I contributed to creating the current reality?"

Confusion, blame, and waiting for someone else to change are defences against ownership and personal power. This core question, when answered, is central to how the community is transformed.

MAY ALLAH BLESS US ALL AND RECTIFY OUR AFFAIRS. Ameen

OTHERNESS

OTHERNESS
www.tariqco.blogspot.com

In the name of Allah the Most Beneficent The exceptionally Merciful.

In a culture of shame, we are constantly overwhelmed with feelings of fear, blame and disconnection. This creates an "us and them" world. There are people like us, and then there are "those other people." And, we normally work very hard to insulate ourselves from "those people." As children, there were the people that we were allowed to hang out with and then there were the other kids. There were the schools we went to and there were schools for the other kids. As adults, we live in the neighbourhood where our kind live - the other neighbourhoods are for the other folks. We emotionally and physically insulate ourselves from "the other." It never seems to end. We've developed language to describe the others - sometimes we refer to them as "those people" or the even more mysterious "people like that." The truth is ... we are the others.

Most of us are one paycheck, one divorce, one drug-addicted kid, one mental health diagnosis, one serious illness, one sexual assault, or one drinking binge away from being "those people" - the ones we don't trust, the ones we pity, the ones we don't let our children play with, the ones bad things happen to, the ones we don't want living next door.

We use the concept of otherness to insulate ourselves and to disconnect. Sharing our shame with someone is painful, and just sitting with someone who is sharing his or her shame story with us can be equally painful. The natural tendency to avoid or reduce this pain is often why we start to judge and insulate ourselves using otherness. We basically blame them for their experience. We unconsciously divide people into two camps: worthy of our support and unworthy.

The concept of labeling people worthy or unworthy is not new. If you look at the history of charity and philanthropy, going as far back as written history, those needing help have always been separated into the deserving poor or the undeserving poor. This thinking has become part of our culture. You can see it in our public policy, our neighbourhoods and in our families. It plays out on an individual level exactly like it plays out at the community level.

MAY ALLAH BLESS US ALL AND RECTIFY OUR AFFAIRS. Ameen

FALSE HOPE

👓WEEKLY FOCUS👓

Please READ & SHARE.Help us spread this message to benefit others .May Allah Reward You.👍

💡FALSE   HOPE💡
www.tariqcon.blogspot.com

It was common among Muslim scholars to discuss the delicate balance between hope and fear. If one is overwhelmed with fear, he enters a psychological state of terror that leads to despair — that is, despair of God's mercy. In the past, this religious illness was common, although less so today because, ironically, people are not as religious as they used to be.

An overabundance of hope is a disease that leads to complacency and dampens the aspiration to do good, since salvation is something guaranteed (in one's mind, that is). Human beings simply cannot handle being assured of Paradise without deeds that warrant salvation. Too many will serve their passions like slaves and still consider themselves saved. In Islam, faith must be coupled with good works for one's religion to be complete. This does not contradict the sound Islamic doctrine that "God's grace alone saves us."

There is yet another kind of hope called umniyya, which is blameworthy in Islam. Essentially it is having hope but neglecting the means to achieve what one hopes for, which is often referred to as an "empty wish." One hopes to become healthier, for example, but remains sedentary and is altogether careless about diet. To hope for the Hereafter but do nothing for it in terms of conduct and morality is also false hope.

The attitude and statement of many that "My Mind is My Faith" and thats what God's need. To believe in such and  have nothing done for what Allah has in place for hereafter is a big false hope. YOU MUST WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLEEP & STOP DREAMING.

MAY ALLAH SAVE US FROM THE DESTRUCTION THROUGH FALSE HOPE AND THAT OF SHAYTAN. Ameen

A FORCE ON YOU

A FORCE ON YOU
www.tariqcon.blogspot.com

Arguably, the disease of hatred is one of the most devastating forces in the world. But the force that is infinitely more powerful is love. Love is an attribute of God; hate is not. A name of God mentioned in the Quran is al-Wadud, the Loving one.

Hate is the absence of love, and only through love can hatred be removed from the heart. In a profound and beautiful hadith, the Prophet said, "None of you has achieved faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself" [Bukhari, Muslim]. The 13th-century scholar Imam al-Nawawi comments on this hadith saying:

When the Prophet says "brother" we should interpret this as universal brotherhood, which includes Muslims and non-Muslims. For one should desire for his brother non-Muslim that he enter into the state of submission with his Lord [Islam]. And for his brother Muslim, he should love for him the continuation of guidance and that he remain in submission.

Because of this, it is considered highly recommended and divinely rewarding to pray for a non- Muslim's guidance. The word "love" here refers to a desire for good and benefit to come to others. This love is celestial or spiritual love and not earthly love or human love. For human nature causes people to desire harm to befall their enemies and to discriminate against those who are unlike them [in creed, color, or character]. But men must oppose their nature and pray for their brothers and desire for others what they desire for themselves. Moreover, whenever a man does not desire good for his brother, it is from envy.

And envy is a rejection of God's apportionment in the world. Thus, one is opposing how God meted out sustenance in concord with His wisdom. Therefore, one must oppose his own ego's desires and seek treatment for this disease with the healing force of acceptance of the divine decree and prayer on behalf of one's enemies in a way that suppresses the ego [nafs].

7 CONTROVERSIAL BIBLE VERSES THAT IS OF DEEPLY CONCERN TO EVERY CHRISTIAN

7 CONTROVERSIAL BIBLE VERSES THAT IS OF DEEPLY CONCERN TO EVERY CHRISTIAN

The Bible says all Scripture is given by inspiration of God (2nd Tim 3:16-17). But the following verses of the Scripture should give Christians a cause for concern. Bible scholars should please come and explain what these verses seem to say.

1) 2 Kings 2:23-24

And [the prophet] went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, ‘Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.’ And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.”

Is the Bible saying God hates children that He sends bears to attack them?

2) 1 Samuel 15:3

“Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.”

Is the Bible promoting genocide?

3) Psalm 137:9

Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.”

Is the Bible supporting killing children?

4) Deuteronomy 13:6-9

If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, ‘Let us go and worship other gods’ (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people.”

Is the Bible saying we should be jihadists?

5) Leviticus 11:10

And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you.”

Is the Bible saying eating shrimps, lobsters, or crayfish is sinful?

6) 1 Timothy 2:12

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Is the Bible supporting gender inequality?

7) Matthew 19:24

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

Is the Bible saying as long as you are poor, you can enter heaven easily? Why are most pastors then preaching prosperity?

OFFICIAL NYSC REGISTRATION & CAMP REQUIREMENTS

www.tariqqco.blogspot.com

PART 1:
Official NYSC Camp Registration Requirements:

1. CALL UP LETTER: This is a vital part of camp registration and the only evidence that you are a prospective corps member (colloq. Corper, or Otondo)and you are not impersonating anyone. This will be taken from and not returned to you. So if at all you even forget you luggage never forget this.

Tip: Since many will choose the N4,000 option to print online, do try to use a café with laser jet printers andnot DeskJet. Why? Documents printed with DeskJets are more susceptible to water/moisture damage. Just to be on a safer side and you should do this with any document you intend to keep for a very long time. If you can’t find a LaserJet, use anyone.

Tip: DO NOT LAMINATE IT! and keep it like its your life. I know someone who was sent back because she forgot hers. Also someone who had to beg and beg before his letter was collected because he laminated his own copy. So please avoid all these stress and make enough copies of this letter.

2. Registration Documents: If you’re a foreign graduate, take along the original credentials you uploaded (to the NYSC Portal) for physical verification / evaluation. >> The List here

3. Green Card: It contains your bio-data. Print and bring along your signed copy.

4. Final Year Student IDENTITY CARD

5. Notification/STATEMENT OF RESULT from School

6. PHOTOCOPIES OF YOUR DOCUMENTS: Now make about 10 copies of every document required. There would be photocopiers in camp at mammy market but trust me, it is double the price and it saves time.

7. PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPHS: This is very important. Take as many as you can, about 20 in red backgrounds. You would need them for different kinds of registration. e.g, skill acquisition groups, religious groups, sports, redeployment, bank account opening e.t.c

8. My CLEAR BAG: You’ll need to put the aforementioned in a portable envelope/bag that can withstand some amount of wear/tear. Hence, My Clear Bag.

Tip: The forms that will be handed to you are very easy to fill. Attach your passport where necessary and fill them correctly. After your registration, you will be issued with your State Code Number. This will be like your PIN throughout your Service Year.

PART 2:

9.  CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: For Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses & Lab Scientists, take along your proof of certification. Graduates of Medicine and Pharmacy are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with Nigerian Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (NMDCN) and Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) respectively.

10. STATIONERY: PEN, PAPER, GUM. Yeah this saves time and lots of unnecessary begging.

Tip: Some camps do seize staplers at the gate during check-in. But do not forget to include pins in your stapler if you still decide to take it along.

You will be given a meal ticket that gives you access to the Camp kitchen for the 21 days. Lose it and you have to feed yourself. Even if you do not intend to use it, you will come across someone who would appreciate the kind gesture.

Tip: After getting your NYSC State Code Number (which you have to wear around your neck all through camp with your ID card), you can proceed to claim your NYSC Kit and Mattress after which you can proceed to get a Room. After you have gotten your kit and secured a place in the hostels, you can settle down and you are good to go to start the Military parades.

Now, Your NYSC kit should contain 1 NYSC Crested Vest, A pair of Khaki Trousers, Cap and Jacket, 2 White T-shirts, 2 Pairs of Knickers, 2 pairs of green-stripped Stockings, A Pair of Orange Jungle Boots and One Pair of White Converse. A “Belt” is also included.

PART 3:
DAILY NEEDS:

11. ROUND-NECKED WHITE T-SHIRTS: This is an essential outfit in camp in fact in most camps this is the only allowed cloth to be worn throughout your 3 weeks. Even to church, you might not be allowed to wear colored cloths. You would be given 2 pairs of white t-shirts at camp to just fulfill all righteousness which surely would never be your size especially our very slimand small otondo in size . So you can bring extra pairs (6). Why? Because you probably wont have time to wash during the week after being stressed out from the parades and Man-O-War drills.

Tip: Do not carry more than 2 pairs of colored clothes because you wont need them.

12. WHITE SHORT/ 3 QUARTER SHORT: I beg you please do bring yours. you would also be given 2 pairs of shorts which are really poor in material. They tear easily and it can be annoying. So my dear Otondos bring like 4 pairs of shorts. Trust me also you wont like to wash everyday, so bring enough to last you like 3 days so that you wont be stranded.

13. PLAIN WHITE SNEAKERS/TENNIS SHOES: This is a very important outfit. you would also be given an ugly pair of low quality white tennis shoes customized for NYSC.

14. WHITE SOCKS: Just get extra pairs.

15. PADLOCKS: [BRING or BUY from Mammy] Please lock your boxes and bags to avoid regrets and tears. I know someone who lost more than 5 items including his two phones – like he’s the only one in camp.

16. WAIST POUCH: /Fanny pack/Bum bag (or for the more fashion-conscious, a cross-body purse). The bum bags are more popular because they won’t bang against you when you’re active and your hands are free to do whatever. You need it to carry your money, phone, small valuables, pens, etc around with you at all times. You should sleep with it too.

17. MOSQUITO TREATED NET: You would do not want to fall sick in camp from malaria and miss out on the fun. Just bring yours. Also bring ropes you would use to hang it. The nets usually have these. I also used mine as a room to protect my box and properties from thievesand also from some insects and ants.

18. BASIC DRUGS: Like paracetamol, medicine for your allergies, menstrual pain relief drug, nausea relief drugs, antibiotics e.t.c. The camp clinic is sometimes inadequately stocked with drugs so help yourself. True story – A corper once donated at least a million Naira worth of medicine to the Lagos State NYSC camp clinic, and barely a few days later, they claimed to have run out of medicine.

19. ANTISEPTIC/DISINFECTANTS: Such as Dettol etc. This is very, very essential. Firstly the bathrooms can be very annoying and dirty and more importantly, you would not like to have infection from camp. Bad idea. Depending on your camp, the water can be dirty. Most people always have reaction to it.

20. DETERGENT: [BUY from Mammy.] Again, this reduces the amount of load you’re bringing into camp. However, if you’re lucky the mammy market will have vendors offering laundry services! It costs about N50 per item, N100 for your khaki trousers or jacket, extra N50 if you want your items pressed although cost will vary across camps.

Tip: The Bucket: Buy this in Mammy. Don’t stress yourself taking one to Camp, which you’re probably going to leave behind after 3 weeks. Toiletries: Toilet Paper, Sanitary Pad, soap dish etc. BUY in Mammy.

21. TOWELS

22. A PAIR OF SLIPPERS: [BRING or BUY]

23. Bed sheets, Pillow Cases and A Pillow. You could also get pillow from mammy market to reduce load.

Tip: Mattresses will be provided by NYSC. It is best to “double up” with the mattresses, as they are about 1 to 2 inches thick. Lol.

24. HANDKERCHIEF. There will be BUCKETS of sweating. Do yourself a favor.

25. FLASK, BOWL and CUP: [BRING or BUY] For eating. Important for those who intend on eating Camp food.

Tip: You will be fed three times a day in camp but I must not lie to you, the food there is nothing to write home about. They can be nice on few occasions like Sundays, but most days, they are poor. If you are someone who loves to eat good food, make provisions for your ownfood. You should get some fast foods along, some breakfast cereals and beverages. You should also hold extra cash to eat at the Mammy market. You will get good meals there.

26. BEVERAGE: The camp will supply you with “Tea-water” or ‘brown-water’ so you can make tea when you need to!

27. FLASHLIGHT OR RECHARGEABLE LAMPS: [BRING] Most camps, do not give light except at a specific time of the day. It’s very essential especially at night when you need to use the bathroom, early in the morning when preparing for morning drills and meditationsand at night in case you need to do anything. At the mammy market, there is always light till they close, usually 10pm except on days like the Camp Fire Night where they stay open till, say, 3am depending on how lenient your camp commander is. You can charge your lamps there for a little fee.

28. Some form of entertainment: Novels – for those who get bored easily, please take a few. and for guys, games on your phone would do or chess. Your music player and headphones for audiophiles.

29. Your Ray-Ban sunglasses for the sun. and if you can’t afford that, get a Ray-Bon.

30. Get extra phone batter(ies) and extra Network SIMs. Some networks are not available at some camps as they’re usually in remote locations, far from town centres. Once you get your call-up letter, you can find out (from serving corpers or tweet at me @_NYSC) which network has the best reception at your destination camp. If you need data access, find out if that available also. Instagrammers and YouTubers, if you get EDGE thank your stars. But there has been some improvement as network providers now know the volume of traffic NYSC camps generate.

31. CASH: Extremely important. You would need about N20,000. Then between N30,000 – N40,000 to be ‘just’ comfortable. For those that can manage, say about N15,000. There are lots of things that take up money. Things like food (for those who don’t intend eating from the camp kitchen), energy drinks, recharge cards, charging of electronic devices, laundry, pleasures e.t.c.

32. ATM Card: You ‘normally’ wont be allowed to leave camp. So do not be stranded, trust me it’s not a good idea. Just budget N1,000 per day. You should take your ATM card along, in case. (This might sound counter-intuitive since there might not be any ATM in your campand you are not allowed to leave camp. But figure it out…) You can keep your extra cash with the Accounts Department (as the case was in my camp) while some shops offer POS services, you still have access to extra cash whenever you need it.

If you have a camera you can take it along because you will want to snap a lot of scenes. If you have a Smartphone with great camera, that’s good for you because you can easily take and share photos on social networks instantly.

Tip: If you don’t have any of those, you will have to pay some guys on camp who do that as business to follow you around and snap you wherever you go. They might charge up to N2,000 for the duration of the camping. They should give you all your photos and videos in DVDs at the end of Camping. Or you could wait till the last day of leaving camp and snap at a cheaper rate.
